Important Information About Wood Color & Finish Variations

Thank you for considering Pennsylvania Sawmill Company for your project. We take pride in producing products from locally sourced and sustainably harvested Eastern White Pine, a natural material with unique character and beauty. Because no two trees are exactly alike, you may notice variations in color, tone, and grain from one board to the next – even within the same order.

What to Expect:

Natural Variation: Each board absorbs stain differently based on grain pattern, knots, and other natural characteristics.
Sample Colors: The stain samples provided are meant to be a representation of the color. Your finished product may appear lighter, darker, or slightly different in tone.
Unique Beauty: These variations are not defects – they’re the hallmark of natural wood products and what makes your project truly one-of-a-kind.

Please Note:

We cannot guarantee an exact color match between your sample and your finished product. By placing your order, you acknowledge and accept that natural variation is part of working with real wood products.

If you are looking for a highly uniform finish with little to no variation, we recommend considering an alternative material.

Pre-finished, skip-sanded material will be subject to an up-charge. Due to it’s increased surface area, skip-sanded material requires more stain for full coverage.
