- Mark the location of your new Box Beam using a pencil or chalkline
- Using a stud finder, find the location of the ceiling joists within the installation area
- Measure the inside width of your new Box Beam
- Fasten a 2x nailer board securely into the ceiling joists using construction screws
- Fit and hold your new Box Beam over the 2x board (trim ends to fit securely against walls as necessary)
- Using finishing nails, secure your new Box Beam through both sides and into the 2x nailer board
